Sounds Interesting

I came across this interesting article today.

I am not really sure what I think of this. The education system early on is wanting LRE/Mainstreaming. Yet, here is a college doing the exact opposite. I will have to keep a close on eye on this cause we have about 12 years until college. Maybe less with the genius here!

Geez, I just don't know what to think about that article. I want my son in the real world, but I also want him to have all the supports he needs. Surely, it doesn't have to go this far to make the latter be true. But, then again, he is home schooled because he wasnt' getting ANY of the supports he needed in elementary school. So, in conclusion, I have no idea what the hell I'm talking about. :-)

I couldn't get past the fact of referring to "them" as "the autistics" GRRRR! A person has a disorder he is NOT the disorder!!! I am refusing to even think of college (head in sand) lol! Miss you tons!!

I don't know. It sounds like an interesting experiment. Not sure how I would feel if I was a parent of an autistic child, but It sounds like it could help many people gain independence and access to higher education.  I'm Hua, the director of Wellsphere's HealthBlogger Network, a network of over 2,000 of the best health writers on the web (including doctors, nurses, healthy living professionals, and expert patients).  I think your blog would be a great addition to the Network, and I'd like to invite you to learn more about it and apply to join at Wellsphere.com/health-blogger.  Once approved by our Chief Medical Officer, your posts will be republished on Wellsphere where they will be available to over 5 million monthly visitors who come to the site looking for health information and support.
